Big Break on the east coast is held at a beach resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. PCB is a Spring Break destination where you will have many opportunities to put your training into practice as you connect with community members and tourists.
The Big Break Conference Cost is $370. This covers the cost of student housing, all meetings, and materials. Travel costs are not included. Food is not provided, but each condo has a full kitchen.
We are so excited for Big Break 2018! We hope you will find this year fun, practical and refreshing. Things that will be familiar are Sunday evening’s first main session, evangelism training, the dance party, and lots of fun. A few new things to look forward to are new evangelism resources, significant times of prayer, a twist in the schedule, and a few other surprises. Come spend your spring break with us! Hung and his wife Angela are passionate about bringing the love and truth of Jesus to teenagers in Los Angeles County and around the world. They reach students in areas that are primarily Buddhist Vietnamese, where only 1.8% of people are Christian. Their family embraces the messiness of ministry and loves sharing life with college and high school students.
Rasool Berry is the teaching pastor at the Bridge Church located in Brooklyn, New York. He also currently serves on the team of Cru which equips millennials to flourish in the city after college. Rasool is passionate about inspiring people to live for eternity. Rasool graduated from of the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Africana Studies. He and his wife Tamica have one daughter, Ire’Ana who attends Brooklyn College. He often speaks and writes about race, justice, and urban apologetics. He and Tamica are passionate enthusiasts of Marvel comics movies and TV shows.
Roger loves to play volleyball, racquetball, and Risk. He is a die hard Penn State Nittany Lion fan, loves to hang with college students, and have fun! He is known as “Hersh” more than Roger. “Hersh” graduated from Penn State where he was in cheerleading, marching band, the Chi Phi Fraternity, and met his wife, Roxanne. They have been married 44 years and have 4 kids – ages 42, 39, 29, and one in Heaven. He has been on staff with Cru for 45 years and has worked with the high school ministry, Miami of Ohio, and Penn State. He loves his current role with Cru: speaking on campuses around the US to equip, motivate and mobilize college students to Finish the Mission. Candice is a world-traveling adventurer who never stops asking, “What is that?” She has ministered in 50 countries over the course of her ministry and claims to be fluent in point. She travels frequently every year encouraging Cru missionaries to persevere and remain faithful to God’s call. Candice has a deep love for Jesus and a passion for people to know Christ. She is a humorous and straightforward communicator who combines the Word of God and story to make truth come alive.
